Description Eastman VB305 Double Bass This is a new Eastman Vb305 double bass, hand built by Eastman Strings, that has had our full workshop set up carried out by our luthier and is fitted with Pirastro Flexocor strings. We have geared this bass towards orchestral work with our setup tweaked for arco playing and the Original Flexocor strings which work wonderfully under the bow complementing the VB305 incredibly well. The quality of the VB305’s sound is remarkably clean and you can clearly hear the overtones. Harmonics are very pronounced and ring out perfectly with great depth and excellent sustain. The VB305 double bass is not a production line model, but one that is hand built. Not only is the VB305 made from quality tonewoods, but there is a staggering attention to detail on this bass.
