Description The core material of Pirastro Passione Solo double bass strings is a high-tensile rope made from carbon steel which is wound with chrome steel. They have a round, noble and very warm sound fundament combined with a complex overtone spectrum which results in a deep sound. The Passione bass strings have great projection with a big tone and powerful volume, these strings are especially suited for arco playing. Their response is instantaneous and very flexible, with a clear distinction between the notes in fast passages. Passione Solo double bass strings start and vibrate very easily, with only a little bow pressure needed for sound production. They have immediate playability and absolute tuning stability. 5-string set: Due to the reduced tension of the B5-string the set vibrates freely.
